Who We Are

Kouts Christian Church is a growing, family-oriented church located in Kouts, Indiana. By calling our church Christian we are not saying that we're the only Christians, it means that we believe in Christ Jesus and want Him central to everything we do! We are not a denominational church in the traditional sense, but we maintain ties with other Christian churches in the area.

What We Believe

We believe that God, in His infinite love for the people of the world, sent His son, Jesus Christ, to earth. While on the earth, Jesus lived and preached and taught and then was killed, only to rise again and come back to life. All of this happened to fulfill God's plan for people: to bring them eternal life through the cancelling out of their sin! We accept that promise and gift through hearing the Word of God, faith, repentance (changing our minds about sin and turning from it), confessing Christ as Lord and baptism (immersion). Want to know more? Visit us, or contact us. We're always open to questions!

What You Can Expect

Our services are generally casual and you should feel comfortable wearing jeans if you want. The Word of God tells us to be modest, not ostentatious.  You are coming to worship God, not impress people.  And while people look at outward appearances, God looks at the heart! Some people dress up, but only because they want to, not because you must.  The best thing you can wear on a Sunday morning is a humble and loving heart.  Come as you are.

During our services there are three elements: Worship, Communion, and the Word:

Worship usually consists of a mix of hymns and praise songs and is a time to sing our love for God and our thanks for the things He has done for us.

Communion is served every Sunday during service. It is the time when we reconnect with God and one another by honoring what Jesus asked of his Disciples by remembering His death and promise to return for us when he
said, "do this in remembrance of me".

The last portion of the service explores the Word of God through
teaching. Through exploration of the Bible we remain united in faith and refreshed for the week ahead!
