“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.,” [1 Thessalonians 5:16-18]
“…pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.,” [2 Thessalonians 3:1]
Next Sunday we will be implementing a new Sunday morning service schedule. While some people like change, some don’t. But I think we can all agree that the Lord is First and Head of the church. And He longs for the lost to be saved.
We are faced with a daunting and frightening prospect: The younger generations are being lost to secularism. It is time for us to stand. If we take the Great Commission seriously and sincerely love our Lord, then let’s really begin praying for the lost to be saved; this is our calling, this is our Commission, this is our purpose.
If you don’t like to attend Sunday school and you’re not sure what you might do if you would like to come to the early music service at 8:30 and also want to stay for the sermon at 10:15, and if you’re not sure what to do between 9:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning, could I ask you to serve in a very special, and desperately needed, way? Would you consider forming a prayer group to pray for people that might be coming at 10:15? Would you be willing to take that time to join with others and pray for the lost to be saved? Would you consider praying for the service so that the Church might be built up by the power of God because His people cared enough to pray that God might save them? Would you consider serving in this way?
And would you consider praying for me to speak the Word with boldness and power by the Spirit of God? I need your prayers. The enemy would like nothing better than for me to quit. But with your help, I will serve wholeheartedly. Would you be willing to pray for the messages on Sunday at 10:15 so that the lost might come to know the Risen Savior?
I need your help. This is a special request for prayer. Just as a national disaster requires us to rise up to meet the need, the silent disaster of many lost souls passing into eternal condemnation requires us to take a stand for Christ. Please consider prayer. I need some prayer warriors to lift up the lost, me and the saints of God at Kouts Christian. Please, please consider standing in the gap [Ezekiel 22:30], interceding for us all. WE NEED YOU. Saints of God, now is the time. Please consider praying from 9:00 – 10:00 if you’re not attending Sunday School.
On the Solid Rock we stand!
